You will feel a mystical atmosphere with the sound of the fountain flowing through Kas\u0131miye Madrasa. It has the characteristics of a high school, that is, in which positive sciences are given in history. During the Artuqid period, in the 15th century, Kas\u0131m the son of Akkoyunlu ruler Cihangir, Kas\u0131miye Madrasa was built after he was appointed to Mardin. It is believed that since he was killed inside this madrasah, his blood remained on the walls of the madrasah.<\/p>\n

\"Kasimiye<\/p>\n

Water flowing from the fountain in Kas\u0131miye Madrasa; place of birth, spillage; childhood and youth, the next elongated chapter; represents maturity and old age. The water accumulating in a large pool from here also represents about death. This water is conveyed from the pool to a large plain by channels. Here, it is told that we will return to the earth and reborn in various life forms.<\/p>\n

Inside this madrasah, there are classrooms whose door is half the size of a person, 2-3 square meters. It has been said that the reason why the doors were made so small was to force the person who enters to bow down and then to reinforce the respect for the Quran and science inside.<\/p>\n

\"Kasimiye<\/p>\n

It is entered from the south side by passing through a barrel-vaulted corridor connected by a crown door. There is an independent masjid place on the west, which has the same entrance as the other parts. There is a mosque rising on two floors in the east. It consists of cells lined up between the cloisters on two floors, around the large courtyard with a portico, which is entered through the portal. To the north of the courtyard, there is a large iwan that cuts the second floor and a pool in front of it. This place could be thought of as a social complex, not as a madrasah on its own. The zawiya shrine next to it is proof of this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This madrasa became the centre of science in the region. The madrasah, which stands upright even now, is one of the most distinguished places in Mardin to visit and see\u2026<\/p>\n
